Unexpected: The Women of Advent Art Experience

A young, unwed mother places her newborn in the place where animals eat. No pomp and very little circumstance is how Jesus came into the world.

"Unexpected" is a contemplative art experience designed to focus our attention on the women named in Matthew's genealogy of Jesus. These four women, each of them living complicated lives in a harsh world, show us Advent from the margins.

This event runs for four Sundays after service, beginning on November 30* through the last Sunday of Advent, December 21.
